Mile High Dollhouses
The Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys founded in 1981 is located in a house called the Pearce-McAllister Cottage near downtown Denver. The Museum has grown from an all volunteer organization with moving exhibitions to its current permanent location. The busy museum provides workshops, shows, children’s programs and presents exhibitions all geared toward the preservation, collection and exhibiting of dollhouses, miniatures, dolls and toys. Angel’s Attic: A Miniature Museum that Helps People
Angel’s Attic is a museum for miniatures located in Santa Monica, California that is dedicated to raising money to help treat autism, assist the elderly and disadvantaged children. The museum was founded in 1984 by Eleanor LaVove and Jackie McMahan who had the miniature collections that were initially used in the museum. Previous to creating the museum the two women used their love of miniatures to hold shows and garden parties as fundraisers for the nonprofit school for autistic children that was attended by Jackie McMahan’s granddaughter.

The Ede and Ravenscroft Collection at the Naples Museum of Art
The Naples Museum of Art, located in Naples, Florida is home to the famous Masters of Miniature exhibition which showcases the Ede & Ravenscroft Collection of miniatures. The miniatures were commissioned by Chairman Michael Middleton of Ede & Ravenscroft, London’s oldest tailor and robe company making academic robes, legal wigs, and menswear. The collection was commissioned to celebrate the company’s 300th anniversary as “Purveyors of Royal Robes to the Crown.” Two famous United Kingdom miniaturists, Kevin Mulvany and Susan Rogers created the centerpiece of the collection which is the recreation of three rooms from Versailles including Louis XV’s Private Office....
